GET INVOLVED IN A LIFE GROUP THAT FITS YOU. 

Neighborhood small groups are the heartbeat of Upcounty Church.  Growing spiritually in Christ, building relationships and serving others go together.  We refer to our neighborhood small groups as Life Groups.  

Doing Life Groups means taking church outside the four walls and into the community.  There are a number of Life Groups going on now in our area.  

WHAT ARE LIFE GROUPS?

Life Groups happen in the community and are are all about friendship, encouragement, prayer and growing in your understanding of the Bible.  Each Life Group also seeks to serve and connect with others in our community.  Relax and take a break from the busy pace of life by being part of a Life Group.  (Life Groups are usually 6 - 12 people in size.)    

WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF A LIFE GROUP?

It’s harder to develop relationships and grow spiritually in just an hour or so at a Sunday service.  Since our mission as a church is to help people connect with God, connect with others and care for people, we believe that Life Groups are a great way for that to happen.   Living out our mission as a church in the Life Groups means that each group focuses on the four purposes of what the Bible says a New Testament church is all about:

Connect:  Connect with God while in community with others (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Grow:  Live life the way Jesus intended and pass it on (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:2).

Serve:  Build relationships and serve others (1 Thessalonians 2:8; 1 Peter 4:10).

Care:  Demonstrate God’s unchanging love to all people (John 3:17; Matthew 5:16).

WHY BE PART OF A LIFE GROUP?

• Discussing the Bible with others may help you understand it better. 

• Being in a small group may help you feel more connected with others. 

• Prayer will become more meaningful to you. 

• Sharing things with others will help you handle some of the stress and pressure of life a little better. 

• You’ll gain confidence in sharing Christ with friends, relatives, and work associates. 

• You’ll experience what it means to serve others together.

• You will deepen your understanding of worship.
