CARE AND COMPASSION MINISTRY

Many people in our area are experiencing financial stress due to the difficult economic times that we are in.

Therefore, this spring and summer, we want to help restock some of the food pantries in the upcounty area to help families in need this spring.

If you’d like to help, please fill up just one grocery bag with some of the items from the list below and simply bring your bag to our Sunday service at Rocky Hill at 11:00 am.  Our church will then deliver the bags to local non-profit organizations that distribute food to families in need.

Thank you for your help,

The Upcounty Food Drive Team

MOST NEEDED ITEMS TO PUT IN YOUR BAG:
~ Cereal (high fiber, low sugar)
~ Canned Tuna or Salmon (packed in water)
~ Fruit or Vegetable Juice (100%, any size)
~ Canned beans (kidney, black, navy)
~ Canned Vegetables
~ Canned Fruit
~ Peanut Butter
~ Rice or pasta

Please no glass items. Thank you.

A RECENT COMMUNITY KINDNESS DAY IN THE GERMANTOWN, MD AREA

As part of a recent Community Kindness Day, we wanted to share God's love in a practical way with others in the upcounty area.  The following are some pictures of some Upcounty small group members and other volunteers from Upcounty and other churches.  We gave away hundreds of bags of groceries, a lot of toys and some clothing to people and families in need.  It's just a small way to touch people with God's love and build relationships with our neighbors.
